Packaging & Print Production
Packaging and print production is where the design meets the physical: the structure, the substrates, the fine print, and the vendors that make the whole thing ship. This page brings together three case studies across that practice — compliance-driven packaging for Nikken Wellness supplements and appliances, a luxury cassette release for PAL, and a bespoke direct mail and packaging campaign for Hymans Robertson. Each runs to the same standard: design the package, engineer the net or layout, coordinate the printer, and deliver production-ready.
Nikken Packaging
Packaging Where the Fine Print Is the Challenge
Packaging design and production for Nikken Wellness — supplements and appliances — where the real complexity lives in the fine print: regulatory and compliance typography, complex nutritional information panels, ingredients lists, usage instructions, and multi-language regulatory copy, all held to strict legibility and minimum point-size standards for health supplements.
What I did
- Engineered vector packaging nets: die lines, glue tabs, tuck flaps for sachet boxes and appliance enclosures
- Laid out regulatory typography, nutrition panels, ingredients and multi-language copy to compliance standards
- Designed pressure-sensitive wraparound jar labels factoring substrate stretch and bottle curvature
- Delivered production-ready artwork with fold/die layers, bleed, crop marks and spot colours
Structurally, that means engineered vector nets — die lines, glue tabs, tuck flaps — for folded carton sachet boxes and appliance enclosures, plus pressure-sensitive wraparound labels for supplement jars, factoring substrate stretch, bottle curvature, overlap tolerances and finish coatings. Everything delivered production-ready, across a print supplier spanning rigid boxes, flexible sachets and labels.

PAL Cassette Release
Cassette in 2026: Luxury Meets Digital Dystopia
Design and production of the sleeve and cover for Leisure Forever, a cassette release by PAL — a format that, in 2026, is a statement as much as a container.
What I did
- Designed the cassette sleeve and cover in-line with the album’s futuristic, luxury-meets-dystopia aesthetic
- Co-developed the packaging vision with the client, translating band concepts into multi-panel print assets
- Die-cut and layout: 3-panel J-cards, side labels, shell stickers for the clear Nemeco housing
- Ran end-to-end print vendor coordination: colour reproduction and stock pairing
The design runs in-line with the album’s audio aesthetic: futuristic, luxury meets digital dystopia. The packaging vision was co-developed with the client, translating the band’s concepts into structured, multi-panel print assets — a 3-panel J-card, side labels, back sleeve and shell stickers to fit inside a clear Nemeco housing — with print vendor coordination run end-to-end, acting as the technical link between the band and the printers to guarantee colour reproduction and stock pairing.

Hymans Robertson Direct Mail
Unboxing as Campaign: Personalised Direct Mail & Custom Packaging
A bespoke, highly personalised direct mail campaign targeting Hymans Robertson trustees — complete with custom-designed outer boxes, internal inserts, and accompanying campaign literature.
What I did
- Bespoke direct mail packages with custom outer boxes, inserts and campaign literature
- Personalised video campaign on pre-configured iPads locked to dedicated client playback
- Custom foam-boarded box inlays with integrated action instructions
- Customised protective external shipping containers aligned to campaign branding
The centrepiece was a personalised video campaign delivered on pre-configured iPads, locked to dedicated client media playback and housed in custom foam-boarded inlays with integrated action instructions — sealed inside customised protective shipping containers aligned to the campaign brand, so the unboxing itself became part of the experience.
Direct mail & packaging — Hymans Robertson, Direct Mail & Packaging.
From compliance-driven supplement packaging to a luxury cassette release to a bespoke direct mail campaign, these three projects are the same practice pointed at three different problems. The brief changes, the formats change, the standard doesn’t: design it, engineer the net or layout, coordinate the printer, and deliver production-ready.
